In the actual D2D agreement it states, and i highlighted it in the download link........
And yes in the agreement several times it clearly states that all D2D work are to be done in duty time and if needed extra payments (overtime) can be payed (at the Managers discretion)if the duty holder is to go over their duty time because of them.
It also mentions streaming mail as well if the duty holder is not going to finish.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Thank you for your email.

It was agreed with the CWU in the 1995 addendum to the national agreement
(and the subsequent joint statement) that Door to Door mail is paid for
separately via unit payment, and is due to be absorbed within normal duty
time in existing deliveries. For this reason the workload associated with
the product is not taken into consideration when planning revisions.

This is the agreement that is currently in force, and it means that Door to
Door is left out of workload, but must be sorted and delivered along with
the other mail during existing duty time
with no additional hours.

Delivery is compulsory under the agreement, and the only real difference
with other mail is that it is currently paid for separately.

kind regards

The several dims we have had over my 4 years say you sort d2d's in normal duty time but if you are late out and hence late back becasue of it you cant claim OT. Now we are lapsing and preping a recent buy down round (on a rota) it makes us even later out. :arrrghhh

then dont use "i was out late cos i was prepping d2d" as an excuse, just say you didnt have time to complete due to mail volume. If he persisted in not giving OT as he knew you took D2D out that day then Id cut off on time and let him sort out what I brought back.
