It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I'm sorry but I enjoy the Managerial bullying, especially when it comes to their vision of flexibility. I particularly like their quick movement on Phase 4, their dirty tricks over buy downs, their lapsing without organisation, their expecting you to work over time and not pay for it, they obviously don't get enough from the early starters. I was especially pleased over the loss of pension rights and the threat of closing even the current CARE scheme.

What I don't like is the CWU trying to stand up for our rights, why should they question Royal Mails interpretation of Modernisation if it means more work for less people and less pay, sounds like paradise to me.

Oh come on you didn't believe me did you.

If senior management only understand bullying then lets talk to them in their own language. Out Out Out - Billy and Dave no suspension till there is an agreement this time :no no

I will be voting 'YES' to IA, The managers at our mail centre keep saying to us we haven't forced anyone out of a job people left on VR's, problem is those jobs are gone yes and now the rest of us have to pick up there workload for no extra cost and to top it all off, who do we see working, yep, MANAGERS, T******s.

Thats there idea of modernising, YES all the way for a strike.

to date the vote is at 82% if this reflected on the Ballot papers, we should get a comfortable margin for a Strike.

BUT Lets not get too complacent, EVERY VOTE counts, do not rely on somebody else doing it for you, you are the Democracy use it.

I can feel this head of steam waiting to explode, judging form the postings, complaints of intimidation, pressure, preventing overtime, all they have doneis ensure a yes vote.

That, I'm afraid, is how crap agreements get foisted on all of us.

I voted NO to the 2007 Pay & Modernisation agreement. Some people voted in favour of it.

But ultimately, the agreement got accepted in part because of all the people who didn't vote at all.

If I live to be a hundred, I will never never understand how people can strike, give up several days pay, and then having a received a ballot paper on whether or not to accept the deal, not be bothered to vote at all !!

I might have a difference of opinion with those who voted for the 2007 agreement, but I cannot for the life of me understand the apathy of those who can't be bothered to vote when they've given up earnings in support of the strike. If you think it's a shite deal, vote no FFS or the Yes votes will decide the day !!!!!!!

I voted Yes in our local ballot and will be voting Yes in the national ballot...I like a lot of people can't really afford to strike being part time but I can't afford not to strike either because if I don't then I may not have a future!!!
