Best offer I've had, with a previous company who had a BIG order to shift, was TRIPLE time (with a day of in lieu) for working a Bank Holiday

They'd announced they were making everyone redundant so I told em to stick it :mad Some people still took the money, you never know what financial pressure some people are under. Could pay that credit card bill!

Never the less I hope those PE staff can resist the temptation. Agree to the question of, "Where's RM getting this extra money from"? I thought they were pleading poverty ;liar

Cheers :wave

Just a thought though, you could do the o/t at £15 Hour - Tell your lino that the extra cash will make it easy on your pocket, with the extra money you'll be able to go on striking indefinately ! ( Just watch his face change to a scowl ! )

However RM wont be able to keep paying £15/H for long - and you'd be pocketing the cash ! lol you win again. :Very Happy
What's the point of striking, if you then go in on a rest day and assist in clearing the backlog FFS ?
It's ridiculous whatever the hourly rate being dangled in front of you is :arrrghhh
There seems to be a missunderstanding about what I mean in my answer, I personaly wouldn't work a sunday.
But If you think about what I said you would see that working the sunday o/t was in a way a double whammy against RM
Not only would your day of striking do them damage, but RM having to pay you DOUBLE to clear it then you pocket the money which allows you to stay on strike even longer !
RM would then give up that tactic
( you'd also be depriving those who cross the picket line of gaining money by clearing it up anyway for RM by you yourself taking the money instead of them mopping it up ! )

we have got to try new & old tactics that cost RM ££££££££ as this is the only thing they understand !

FIGHT SMART & HARD and we WILL WIN !

I don't quite understand how it works, but I believe they are prepping rounds, and it is definitely happening tomorrow. A few offices in the area have been asked, so I have been told. Someone from the Peterborough office might be able to explain better though. I think they went out on strike Friday, so I guess they are clearing the backlog.

Can't believe people are doing it to be honest. A shambles.
No one from peterborough will be clearing any backlog. We await these people on the gate. Sometimes things get distorted on this sight but i guarantee Peterborough has not striked 4 days for these parasites to come down. . 100 strong members await them . FUMING! :coolr

Sorry leader, I mean't these 'volunteers' would be clearing the backlog, not the staff from your office.

Good luck on the gate. Peterboro is definitely one of the strong offices in this area we should all aspire to.

Well done PE posties :Applause Admire your willingness to turn out on a Sunday to show these "Volunteers" that they're not really welcome :whistle

Pity some of your 100 strong members couldn't have covered the side entrances LOL :chuckle

Did they manage to clear much of your backlog?

Cheers :wave
