Just bring all the missorts back to the office, if your managers are anything like my lot they can't sort properly (neither accurate or quick).

the fact is full time staff dont mind it, the work is done and they can bugger off out the door quicker, while the part time staff wait and wait on full time contracts

Not sure it affects full timers getting out quicker, aren't we talking about prepping duties here, not IPS ?

If you've had cuts/revision/or lapsing then these cruds should not touch a letter.
At the end of the day if you have had the above then managers are undermining you and your office.
If again you have had the above and it shows that the job can't be done without their interference, then it wont show the problems in your office.
Reps should be on the ball here!!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

happens in our office also.

all 4 manager sorting and prepping the lapsed duties to allow full time guys to leave early. Part-time guys come in at 10 to find their frames with a bit to do while managers scowl from behind coffee cups

 Hoi! That kind of joke you leave to D.G.P or D.V! seriously, I believe that was part of S.T.D. Personally ,no Manager I know can prep up, with probably a quarter of the walk being mis-sorted. They should be made to go out and deliver all
'their 'mistakes.'

Every day I see an acting manager throwing the walk off next to mine and I think to myself, "why is he getting paid managers pay pro rate for doing the same task as me?"

We even had these acting managers coming in at 3am last saturday to throw walks off and do the IPS 'cause they knew it was impossible for us to get it done...and still the DOM claims we are inefficient and wants to make walks part time and increase our IPS.

Managers have been told in our office that they are not to do postmans work,if they start then i will be the first one to open my mouth seen as the DIM is of the opionon that we have more down time so he's going to cut 8-11 full time duty's over to p/t,i think a few more will start as well. They put the duty times up on the wall did'nt even speek to the staff that they are taking the duty's of.How about that for hands on!
