Hi all
What do you think of this then? How do you think this sounds? If you work somewhere that involves nights this could involve you.
What does MTSF mean to you? I always thought it meant you must take the nearest duty to the one you are on if your current position is not available to you and it protects you pay for up to three years.
Well it seems they are now trying to get rid of senority!!!!!! We have a resign coming soon and those who do shifts that involve Sat night / Sunday mornings whom get the Sunday premium will be able to apply for night duties first!!!! So you could be with the 30/40 years and expect first choice on shifts but someone who is currently attracting the highest wage and may of only been with the company a year or so will choose first!!!
Is this really fair? I always thought when you join R.M. you start with the least attractive duties and the longer you work for the company the greater the change of getting the dutyt you want.
Please comment.

Re: MTSF right or wrong?
There is a new MTSF document that may or may not have changed the policy on this I don't know it well enough to be able to tell.
However, from the section I have copied below its looks as though, because its a forced (business led) resign then they are following the policy:
Sorry, not good news for you . the new MTSF2 can be downloaded at http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 36&t=17267" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
