NATIONAL BALLOT

Post by lovejoy »

TO: ALL BRANCHES WITH POSTAL MEMBERS

Dear Colleague

NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL ACTION BALLOT (ROYAL MAIL LETTERS)

Further to LTB 643/09, the Postal Executive met yesterday and agreed a timetable for a National Industrial Action Ballot.

The purpose of this LTB is to advise Branches and members that the timetable will be announced tomorrow.

Although we will be sending out a further LTB with the timetable enclosed it is inevitable that members are likely to hear this in the media first.

Please use the content of this LTB to advise members of these developments.

Yours sincerely

Any idea what's going on in London? The local branch at Mount Pleasant distributed a leaflet saying that "most" offices in the capital would be out Friday and next Wednesday, but haven't seen anything in the media (or the CWU site.)

London are out this Friday all offices apart from Rathbone Place (W1 &WC ) . On Friday all the following offices will be out as well Covertry Hub , National Distribution Centre , Birmingham DC , Essex DC, Edinburgh Distribution , Most of Bristol Bristol delivery offices ,Peterboro , Skegness , Huntingdon , Boston, Market Deepening , Hadfield ,Burslem and Stoke OVO.

On Saturday and Monday parts of scotland are out.

Next Wednesday London is out again for 24 hours.

The National Ballot result is over 7 weeks away and faced with the attacks which we are facing we have no choice but to fight back , anyother repsonse will just mean they attack us harder and remove further terms and conditions.

Yes all units should keep their ballots alive one cannot tell how the national vote will go but most importantly is the fact something is being done by the membership of those offices against the injustice of royalmails dictat and slash and burn policy!.
