health and safety or royal mail fact are we allowed drinks at our frame!? i dont drink coffee but some guys in my office come down with a tray o coffees for work mates in sorting time!

We have food, drink, talking, dancing and generally messing about.

same in our office as long as the work is done our dom is happy,
in fact our dom will even make us a cup of tea and bring it to the sorting frame

If my DOM brought me a cuppa, I'd assume it was laced with arsenic!

Legally, they must supply the Access to clean drinking water-so if they do not allow you to drink at the frames, just leave the floor. Seriously, because of all the dust flying around, I have to take constant sips of water all the time,
or else I choke and cough my way through the sorting.I would also remind them of guidlines that came down during the heatwave.
As for talking, we have been forcibly discouraged for years,what fun it is working for this company.Ditto stools--just after we had the new frames put in, we were told by the Union, we couldn't use them, as the height was wrong!
perhaps the compant could supply us with those bottles you hang round your neck?

You need to be innovative here stokesy - now picture this, and I would think it only works in summer, because it could be uncomfortable with something hot down your trousers, bottle/can of water/pop/cordial and a long piece of hosepipe threaded up your shirt as far as the collar you can then take a, and I hesitate here, I'm struggling to find the right word, use it like a straw - problem solved.
