A new quarterly sales bonus...
We need to be nearer our 100% of targets....but doing this will give you over £200 a quarter.... more than double we have received before

In our office if we reached 100% of our targets our dom would probably get rid of staff and ask us to lapse even more duties
The time has come to stop turning the other cheek, time to stop shaking our heads in bitter dismay, time to stop mumbling our angry words.
The time has come for union.
The time has come for union.

Re: New Bonus Scheme
£200/quarter = £800 per year or £15.34 per week.
With a basic pay of £347.61 this equates to a 4.4% bonus (not an increase in pay) IF you make their targets.
I'd happily swap it all for a 1.5% pay increase but then RM would loose their carrot (or stick if you don't get the bonus).

Re: New Bonus Scheme
And some Offices will get zero... Who sets the targets? Are they fair? What about an office that has a low target because it has been historically poor at sales, and so therefore has a greater potential? Or has a nearby sub office opening/closure? What about changes to market conditions that are beyond our control? What about good Customer Service? Misselling?
I haven't known a bonus scheme yet that doesn't come with a wide assortment of contradictions. My favourite was the one we had a few years back that was linked to Waiting Times and errors. If the doors were kept closed and you didn't serve any customers, you would not fail any waiting time targets, and you wouldn't make any errors, so you would get the maximum bonus...
If the money is there it should be put on the basic wage in my view...
