Business Post Group will change its name on 1 October to UK Mail Group. Chief executive Guy Buswell told MT last year that the rebranding was in the offing (MT 23 October 2008) as it would "better represent what we do".

"The name change is part of an integrated strategy to become a single brand," explains Buswell. "Behind the scenes, we have been acting as a single brand for the past 12 months - the name change is the last piece of the jigsaw.

"The UK Mail brand is well known and it represents both parcels and mail," he adds.

Meanwhile, Business Post reports that unadjusted group sales are down 4% year-on-year for Q2, while adjusted (for the number of working days), they are in line with Q2 revenues for 2008.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
