Re: treated like s..t
Most current managers where bad postpersons, they where the lazy buggers, the ones who had there jobs saved by union reps fighting hard for them, the ones who used cars on delivery, came in early and have no back bone at strike times.
its hardly there fault coming from fatherless family units is it

We are treated like crap but only because a lot managers are not up to the job (Crozier or Leighton said that) they wont stand up for themselves and tell those above them that you can't just cut and cut.

Re: treated like s..t
With senior managers who come from outside the Public Service, "Supermarket chains and football clubs" running Royal Mail they treat you and the Public as crap.
These people are selfish greedy and have no morale principles.
They treat their own managers as crap use them for strike breaking because they have no backbone to stand up for themselves. :mfo :lfo

If you don't like your job, you should get skilled for another position somewhere else.
It suprises me that people already on the minimum wage are striking for better terms and conditions. Why not get a year or three of education or training - you'll instantly earn many times the minimum wage at skilled job.

If you truly think we are treated like s**t, you obviously have never had any other job. We are being dumped on now, but we only notice it because of how good we had it before.
I've worked in s**t jobs before and I'd never be able to go back, after working here, which is one of the main reasons I'm prepared to fight to the bitter end.

Re: treated like s..t
Most of us DO like our job and if my office is a measure of the rest of the country, then there are thousands of posties with very good educational, vocational and business skills (myself included). That is the reason that we do not wish to put up with the unskilled ignorant people with money as their only goal who are spoiling the job for us. Hard work is fulfilling and usually rewarding, but without thanks, respect and consideration from above it is very frustrating.gotmail? wrote:If you don't like your job, you should get skilled for another position somewhere else.

Our job does require certain skills and one of them is certainly not the ignorance you have shown in your comments.

Not this again. Just because we think the management is cack does not mean we don't like the job. Even then, skilling up... for what? Britain has gone through deindustrisation. Not that things will stay this way forever. In time, the issue is rebuilding our class confidence and combativeness for the battles ahead. You don't do that by just leaving every job where you are getting some hassle from management.gotmail? wrote:If you don't like your job, you should get skilled for another position somewhere else.
