I'm Off, Best Of Luck & Best Wishes

Post by ar26 »

Well folks I've had enough, I've applied and got a job elsewhere. It's not going to be the same as being a postman but hopefully I'm not going to be worked into an early grave either.
I've really enjoyed being a postie and boy have my eyes been opened into just whats involved !!!!
However I just want to go to a job where you do your job give it your best and your boss knows that you can do no more and appreciates it.
I've had enough of being told I'm not going fast enough or I'm not trying hard enough etc etc, cause I was going as fast as I could and giving it 110%. I've just got feed up being told well done for giving it 110% lets see 120%, as Scotty from Star Trek used to say " the engines cannae take it Captin"
I wish you all the best of luck and best wishes for the future

Good luck to you too, I did exactly the same thing as you recently to save myself from permanant physical damage and an early grave from stress.

There are many better ways of earning a living and that won't kill you either.

Good, luck with your new job. With the amount of people that seem to be leaving I think Postman should do an ex employee forum.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

:Very Happy Very good Luck.you are so right about the long term health implications, both physical and mental! I only have a short time to go, or else I would do the same. Even then I am seriously thinking of biting the bullet.

Not a bad idea, that said good luck to you mate, not everybody can handle stress the same way, sometimes the best option is pastures new.

I probably would have upped sticks and left too, but I have too much to lose at this point in time, so my way of dealing with stress is to try and do the Job properly, not use my Car, use the Vans, so they can't add any more to me, work all my hours accordingly, work at a steady pace, not worry about trying to finish early, I challenged the Linos to come out with me a few times, they never dared to and think of the wage packet, thats the only way fo rme to deal with it.
