absorbtion +bullying removed from my walk

Hi , i've just been told by my dom that from next week 6 walks in our office will be absorbed and mine is one of them . i am being put on general reserve filling vacancies on a daily basis . I probably will be on a different walk everyday.
Been in the job 25 years and this is how they treat me , he reckons that they targeted the lighter walks and that is why it's 6 senior men that are being removed from their duties .I know that this is not true in my case as there are several easier walks in my sector, i feel i have been targeted as i am the quiet type who usually get's on with it ......... like all bully's, they have carefully selected their victims.
I feel incredibly angry and stressed about this , the union rep has also been removed from his walk after 35 years service.
As it's my dom that's doing this on instruction from the area manager i don't know what i can do ..........i want to fight back

Sounds like B&H but how can you prove it!. Ask the rep for a resign it will benefit him and you all if it is not granted all put in bullying and harassment forms in citing the fact his is targeting all the senior staff!. Good luck

Sounds like they are doing this all over from reading other threads so there's your proof.

What I would be telling them, after a few days or so that you are starting to feel stressed of what they have done as you have your own walk and have done it for so long, they have to take stress serious, and really I can tell you that when this happened to me i did get stressed and i went off sick and when i got back the dom said that he did not believe that was the reason I was off!!! What a **** ****!!!!!

Its another reason why all offices should be balloting for strike action. RM is in crisis management mode and will do whatever they see fit whether with agreement or not.Its a direct attack on the CWU its members and their terms and conditions, and for all those regions and branches who are sitting back and doing nothing I hope they realize soon its a well known divide and conquer tactic used to break unions over the decades and it will break this union aswell if the whole of the UK dont wake up and smell the coffee.

If your high up on the seniority list can you not pull rank so to speak and take up the duty of a less senior postman so its him being shipped about but tell your rep and then tell your Dim TO GO JUMP AND sit in the canteen until they change there minds this is the only action R/M will understand at the moment seen as they think B/H there workers is now the way to go stand and fight against them dont let them win and lastly put in a greivance but as ive said b4 in other post DONT NOT HAND IT BACK TO YOUR DIM FIND THE ADDRESS OF HIS BOSS AND POST IT DIRECT TO HIM

NO! You can't just push someone else off their Duty, because you have more seniority! If you can arrange for a resign, then yes, your extra seniority will mean that you will be able to take the Duty of the less senior Postie. But ONLY if there's a resign. Otherwise, the less senior Postie is safe.

Atrocious---make sure you find out if all the changes to various walks means there should be a resign-I cant remember what the % is,.When S.D.D was brought in. I lost my walk ,and it was some months before I got another.
However, I refused to accept the the loss of say rotating days off etc,and won my case. Any change in your working conditions,which is detrimental to you, is arguable in law. and, sorry to say it, but once again, the Unions seem to be allowing this to happen.

Stoke its a tactic Royal Mail are using to annoy the staff. They take indivudals off walks close to the office and ask people to absorb about 50 delivery points each. Their tactic ingnores whether those walks are covered by senior OPGs or not. Your not entitled to a resign as its not major change as defined within the way forward.

This tactic is part of the total control and felxibility Royal Mail want over staff in the future.

Stoke you cant blame just the National Union on this issue. Every office where they are using this tactic have to request a ballot for strike action.

Next Saturdays strike in London is as a result of Royal Mail breaking the terms of Phase 3 of the National Agreement by moving indivduals off walks without going through the process detailed in Phase 3. In addtion to all the other Royal Mail attacks and refusal to agree a national agreement on the future.

its not as high as that mate for a resign in an office For a reselection exercise to be considered the extent of such a change must be that it has a
significant impact ( in content and/or attendance times ) on over 1/3 of the jobs in the unit.

What is the agreed process?

If every delivery has to absorb about 50 delivery points each that would be major change and should force a resign,WHY would the union not argue this point?
