Btw, why is it most of the strikes planned are based in Scotland? Why not entire UK coverage,a nd more to the point why not one out all out? This is a typical CWU tactic. Use Scotland as a pawn and guage opinion. All out or not, no middle man crap.

Please remember this current round of industrial action began in the East of Scotland ,the first office to take action was Cowdenbeath.
This was in response to the East of Scotland being the first area in the whole of the UK to have exec action imposed,we were the guinea pigs & now that exec action is spreading across the nation the request for ballot papers are on the increase .
Its only a matter of time before the rest of the country follows our lead .

What we REALLY need IMHO. Is for someone from HQ to actually go to the Press, and explain our situation properly. And provide a copy of the actual Pay and Modernisation Agreement, as reference for the Press. So they can see for themselves, that it has been consistently misquoted by RM, and exactly which parts they are in clear breach of. But I doubt that they will do that. They're too busy working on cheap publicity stunts, like the baloon release!

It's a pity really, that someone like Dingo, isn't able to deal with the Press. If he went to them with the information he provides on here. We might have a chance of getting something done about this mess!

I'm in the Kent area, and unfortunately my rep won't be organising any balloon release as a protest, he'll be in a meeting with the reps from the 2 neighbouring offices trying to prevent RM removing HALF the full time positions from our offices and replacing them with part time and wait for it, the all new Zero Hour Contract. Seriously, in my office alone they want to bring in 20 casuals on a daily basis. They will leave 37 full time staff.

My area wants to reduce Full Time down to 24 hours, not 34 not 30 but 24 ! its not livable, the buy downs will not make up the loss of future earnings.

They cannot change your contract without your agreement, also if you step out of line and cut corners in deliveries etc they can look for an excuse to take you out and replace you with part timers, hence the importance of doing the job properly.

The ones who went down to 34 hours originally did it so they don't have to do sorting, I have heard they will now be doing sorting anyway, they must be kicking themselves for accepting the buy down with nothing to show for it.
