I suppose the only thing some of us can do is to try to defend our corner, protecting our work rate so they don't have any excuse to add more on to you, once the lunatics see that, they should realise that they are making a rod for their own backs.
Thats what I do, I do get some back biting from my Colleagues who expect me to come in early, rush round, use my cars etc, I simply refused to do so, I am not easily cowed by anyone or anything.

Re: Doing the job properly....or not.
Im relatively new to this lark.
I will admit that i do come in 20 minutes early most days and dont take a break, as there is no way that i will be able to finish on time otherwise.(my walk is part time hours, having been chopped from full time).
If i go over and try to claim it as overtime my manager refuses to pay me for it.
Another reason is that if im not thrown in soon enough then the person dropping my bags off get delayed as well, through no fault of their own.
I love the job itself, but i am already of the opinion that the companies run my monkeys. I dont think they realise just how much goodwill and customer service is being lost by working us into the ground, any advice for me?
Should i just turn up at my proper time and finish on the dot?

Yes, but you'll find it really hard, the managment will try every trick in the book to get at you but just keep this in your head 'What's the worse thing that they can do to you?'revilo88 wrote:Im relatively new to this lark.

I understand how you feel about holding up your Collegue. But that's Management's problem. They should find a way of preventing that happening. Whether that's by giving you S/A before your Shift, reducing your workload, or whatever.revilo88 wrote:Im relatively new to this lark.

Which brings me to the easy bit. If your Manager refuses to pay your overtime, if you go over. Then dont! Just cut off!
