National demo and rally in London this Friday

Following a meeting with the Police at scotland yard today we have had to make a few alterations to the National Demo.

We will still be delivering Adam Crozier ( the only delviery they will get that day ! ) a giant postcard asking him to resign as he is now the most hated boss in the history of Royal Mail and compeltely lost the confidence and trust of the workforce but we will have a restricted presence at this event due to police insistance.

We are therefore asking all postal workers to meet near Winston Churchill statue in Parliment Square at 12.30 this Friday 17th July. Bring your branch banners.

We will then present another giant Postcard to BIS ( formerly the BERR ) calling on Lord Mandleson to resign as he misled the public over privitisation and as we defeated him on that he has reacted like a spoilt kid and demanded that Royal Mail step up its attack on the workforce.

We will then be hold a rally in Central Hall where all the following speakers will talk about the next steps and give an update on the dispute.

Please attend and make sure that we start making strike days , days of action and building a public campaign which will force the Government to order Royal Mail back to the negotiating table.

Remember this dispute is about breaking this union not just in London , Scotland or the South West but in every area of the country. If you dont fight now then by the time the attack is on you there will not be anyone to fight it with you.

This has been oganised by the London Division and supported by the National Executive. I know in Scotland there has already been a number of rallys so i am sure your Division will organise things once all the other ballot results are known.
