first ive heard of it,also SO were/are 1 of the benchmark offices for rolling out the new sequence machines,got 3 at the moment,with more poss on the way,plus all SO inward mech to DO's is in process of being sorted to sequence/walk.

It's the Dorset Mail Centre (BH & DT postcode areas) that is trialing it (on LSMs), just one post code area being done at the moment. There is a complete list of offices taking part in the trial in another thread.

dorset mail centre currently does bh/dt mail at the weekend,so is there any firm information you have that we will lose our weekend collections and processing of these mails?
looks like dorset mail centre will be next inline for industrial action!!!

I think that Southampton have always done all the SO & SP codes.

no mate,SO will not be processing the bh/dt,po mail at weekends,i think it will just be a local hub,ie all inward for BH,PO,SO goes into southampton on saturday,and is segged into their area bh/dt po etc,then the work will be taken on to the relevent office for sorting as normal...
