What type of customers annoy you most

I'm thinking of writing on letters - Poor Access, overgrown garden. Then if nothing happens after a couple of weeks, change it to NO ACCESS.

I absolutely hate it when people say to me... does your mum know your working?? You can never be a postman your to young!!! Postmen are getting younger these days... and once when i walked past two mums with babys one saying,, i would never let my child be a postman!
Every single one of these comments made to me are by absoulte scumbags who you can just tell have never ever worked and never ever will. the arseholes. Infact next time any human being makes a comment like this to me im going to poke them in the eyes!!!!! tramps.. Rant over! Thank you

Most postpeople have real pride in their jobs, are respectful and very polite. Most of us have been known to help people with shopping, call emergency services and a few have saved lives as well. A lot of customers have a lot of respect for you as well but that is 'walk depending'.

I am proud to be a postman and it's good to see you are as well. You are right, the people you mention do not know what a hard days work is anyway

Once I am out of the office it's one of the better jobs out there!

1 Block my van in when on collection so that i can't drive off so they can give me there mail.

2 Chase me down the road waving there letters in the air.

3 While waiting to empty box sitting in van they always ask have you collected post yet, wouldn't be sitting here if i had would i?

4 When emptying post box and about to leave someone will come up and say can you hang on while i get some stamps from the shop.

5 When delivering packets they take ages to get to door looking out upstairs window to see who is there, they then get to door and realise they don't have keys, they then take 5 mins looking for them and when they finally get to door while im dripping wet from the rain they always put wrong key in until they finally find right one, then i ask to sign for there recorded delivery they then say hold on while i get my glasses.

One of my pet hates is having a wee tot open the door ,and say Muumy and daddy are still in bed, then you ask them to go up and say it's the postie and I need a signature. After an age, the wee one comes back down and says can you come back later.

That's exactly what I do

Especially useful on a saturday when the office closes at midday, normally wont get back till around 1215ish as well

They soon learn their lesson

Customers who (a) look at their watch as you walk up to or are emptying a box, and (b) those who ask you if it is the last collection when you are emptying the box mid-afternoon. Why don't they just say what they mean ie "are you emptying this box early?"
