Tv licence detector vans
They used to come to our office every now and then and a postman used to get overtime to drive it around town to catch the non licence fee ponces

oooh ! there are plenty of TVs about, they are just not declared and licensed, I remember one such detetcor van going to an Army Base demanding to see a TV licence, the CO said when you licence the locals THEN we will buy a TV licence, until then feck off, they didn't come back.disgruntledpostie1 wrote:West Belfast 20,000 houses only 5 tv'sulster postie wrote:WE BURNED THEM OVER HERE M8![]()

of course that's better than South Armagh who had no tv's
the biggest waste of time IMO, Ireland, IOM, don't have TV licence as most of Europe, As far as I know, no other European countries have them either.
time to ditch it and make BBC live in the real world for a change.

Re: Tv licence detector vans
I had to take a van over to another DO just before xmas, I was surprised to see a TV detector van sitting in the yard, thought they had scrapped them.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
Illegitimi non carborundum

Can't wait until they scrap the fee as BBC is crap. Would rather live without the BBC so I didn't have to pay the fee. Why can't they just show some adds like the rest.

Re: Tv licence detector vans
Even with ads revenue the viewing figures for ITV etc continue to decline, so most people must obviously want to watch programmes slightly above the standards of Big Brother, Ant and Dec, Animals do the Funniest Things and other such assorted dross. Why make the BBC the same?

Re: Tv licence detector vans
Here's an idea for the government to solve our pensions deficit - make every household buy a Postage License and if they don't have one we won't deliver the mail.
