Hello disgruntledpostie1

How can be 3 serious charges be upheld against me from the times and figures produced from a spreadsheet guidance tool? Guidance been the operative word.

Surely for the 3 charges to be upheld and justified they would have to prove to me that I had 'x' amount of items and it took me 'y' amount of time to prep them?

A spreadsheet tool can't prove that my prep rate was slow but merely speculate.

Would absolute LOVE to be able to throw out a few technicalities tomorrow in my meeting! But only if I knew they 100% they couldn't be questioned.

Thanks for all your help mate

Intentional the dictionary definition is “on purpose” which would meet the test for “wilful delay”.
If the mail was delivered the same day you took it back then it was not delayed (did you follow local procedures for returning mail or appendix 3 of conduct code?)
The charge is bullshit if your performance is an issue then the NCI procedure should be used not conduct .
They are using the test results to cloud the issue of “poor performance” into “wilful delay”.

that's what struck me , I've heard of people threatened with NCI ( Non Culpable Inefficiency ) for sorting too slow & to be fair some of them might have well deserved it and there would be little sympathy for them .

The better managers ( not the bullsh***ers ) freely admitted they had to give people enough rope to hang themselves with and it had to be reasonably fair to make it stick .

Not some too clever by half flunkie in a Ivory Tower office with a diploma in M/S Office trying to blind us all with science :hmmmm .

The union want to get this flagged up the chain of command , even if it just means marking some people's cards for a rainy day :hmmmm

yet again there is no agreement or figures for tying up your run.
some runs take longer to tie up, so how can managers use the IWT to fault your prep when there is more than prep to be taken into consideration and no figures for tying up.
Total bullshit (bullying and harassment springs to mind)

the way i see it is this prep test etc is just total bullying and harassment by the royal mail its a way for them to get what they want lets just say the cuttin off issue well lets say in your prep test you where one on the postmen who thought you where doing your best my doing over the amount you should say 35-40 per min well this will come and bite you in the arse next time you want to cut off your manager will just count your mail for the day in question and put this in his pc and come up with an amout that is far below your prep test rate then you will be forced to take your whole walk out with you over your time or not if you refuse they will just say conduct code this is total bullshit we need to make a stand and stay with your union on this this is just one thing that is going on all over the now just bullying and harassment from every side stay strong stay together use the union and your reps dont stay silent dont let the royal mail use there bullying and harassment stand on you :cfo hope all goes ok for you today sci-dog over there in northern ireland if your rep has balls you will be fine :Very Happy
