I wish I had had some rain every town and village around me has but all i've had is the immense heat and sunshine solid for over a week now and its killing me on delivery. Great news today though after half the sky mags were put in frame for me I was told by a lino not to take any that did not have any other post with it being so hot today they can go tomorrow. Great did not need to ask me twice as i'm off tuesdays.

Last week I tried to order a RM beanie hat because it would shade the back of the neck as well as the front. It appears they dont supply them anymore. Only do ball caps which only shade the eyes. So I'll be wearing non-regulation headgear this summer.
Just spilt stain-remover down my shirt. Now how do I get that out?

Yep, I wear a sahara/foreign legion style hat because baseball caps just don't give enough protection.

A few points.

1. We dont have bikes and I suspect other DOs could be the same.
2. No trolleys or HCTs either.
3. Agree breaking down is a good idea, and always include your water bottles when weighing your bags as well.
4. We get conducted if we don't wear RM footwear unless we have a Doctors note.
5. The Red Polo T-Shirts are the worst IMO, rather wear short sleeved or even long sleeved shirt instead.

Just to add I coped with the heat but I still sweat and now have a nappy rash

Thats a bit harsh, ok so you like to be out in 30c heat, well some of us don't I don't know where you are but where I live its f*****g hot! perhaps you should be a manager with your lack of compassion for your colleagues.

I ordered and got one of the cricket type hats only 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately it's dark blue and has Royal Mail stitched on the front.

Ok ok thats a bit tough really  . I do a rural delivery (as do you) which puts me out the office for about 4hr 20 min and i dont want to be out in that blinding sunshine a min more than i have too. Today (wed)i was feeling the heat from 12.00 noon onwards and by the time i finished at 1.20pm i was starting to feel quite ill. If you work in cold weather you can always put layers on but what can you do in this excessive heat work naked !!!!! Blimey dont ans that :left: . I for one have found this week pretty hard so far and will be glad when the weather cools. :Very Happy :Very Happy

I totally agree, i actually like the cold , dry, fresh mornings as you soon get warm. Today there was no escape from the relentless heat. Well not in the SEast anyway.
