Disagreement

Post by robd »

We are currently in dispute regarding more summer savings that have been implemented,
we have gone to disagreement as Royal mail seem to be lapsing at will, just one question,
the wording in phase 3 of the agreement implies that they can do anything as long as it's
within your time,so does this supercede phase 2,as they no longer seem to recognise this,
and it forms a big part of our disagreement?

It is only a guess mate but I would assume that phase 3 exists alongside phase 2 but would supercede it where there was a conflict. Please remember that any summer savings that they want to introduce MUST be to allow extra staff off. That is what summer savings are for according to the P&M agreement.

This year we lapsed 6 duties but only 3 extra allowed on Holiday, last year it was 4 and 4. Give 'em an inch and they take a yard

Extra people off :left:
Can't see that happening at our place, they struggle and beg for people to do overtime most days even now! Another fine mess our DOM has created getting rid of too many people.

it exisits along side phase 2. I know the wording you are talking about in phase 3 "all work hours will be utillised" but your attendance hours are still set out in phase 2 must be hounered, plus 3& 1/2 hour delivery span set out in SDD must still be hounerd.

You can also ask why RM deemed it fit not to give realistic talking time on Phase 4 with the CWU. You will also see mentioned in the Pay & Mod Agreement 2007-2009 that RM is honour bound to discuss a new National Agreement with the CWU.
RM's interpretation of the aforementioned Agreement leaves much to be desired :no no

Area rep is in full support of my claim to have the numbers moved from 10 to 12 but still the F**KING DIM WIT isnt giving any ground so im going to give him as much of a headache over this issue as is humanly possible. Why is it R/M break every agreement made ive never come across a company that encourages its DIMS to lie and deceive its work force and they wonder why they are not respected by there work force :mfo
Because we are now at war with them all and they know it for the reasons you have stated in your post is why we are in the phony war stage soon it will hit home to all!. For i will give them no favour for no favour i ask!.
