It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Indeed they have way too much time on their hands :shhhhh I rewckon one manager could float around a few offices instead of one per office, lazy feckers

thanks guys for the feedback its nice to get to know the real picture hope you stay solid. although we are in the 'communication' union sometimes infomation dosent reach us.Like you say I dont use my car , take my break , and do a 4 hr plus rural delivery. took my manager out to test the walk at xmas -3 came back at 4.30 pm ! totally knackered him (ended up in hospital with a foot injury), no toilet stop , office 8 miles away he ended up in a field crapping himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then why did you believe that rubbish about 2 hour walks?
Surely by now you've realised that there's a lot of propaganda being put out by RM, to try to make the Public believe that we're lying about the reasons for the Strikes. :hmmmm

Rule of thumb to apply when the "Official Royal Mail Spokespersons" give out various missives. Check, Check and check again if you know them.

If its in the press then take what they say with a pinch of salt. For instance apparently the Union are failing to implement the whole pay and Mod agreement but in fact its Royal Mail who are refusing to progress phase 4 or even enter into discussions about it.

Proof is in the Pay Freeze - as in Phase 4 it says.
Joint Working Group 2 – New Reward Framework will examine pay simplification possibilities (within the existing pay bill), a new pay and reward package, different pay models, reviewing on what the local element of the ColleagueShare dividend for years 2 and 3 will be based and MTSF. The Group will also consider how to implement monthly pay. It will also review annualised hours or banked hours, flexible working, and possible changes to attendance patterns that could both benefit the business and employees and is in line with the company’s family-friendly policy. The group will decide whether it needs to operate sub groups for any element of this.
Announcing a pay freeze rather than discussing it hardly fits the ethos of JWG2 does it.
