Whats the most hours you have worked in a week ?

(96 hours) just a couple months back, i worked the monday-saturday on the week off and someone else owed me a day so that equated 56 hours overtime pay, though the 56hours gave me the same pay as i got for 40hours which meant that really i worked 2 days for free

Those really were the days getting 7hrs 20 min to do a whole walk which was thrown off and you could deliver in about 2 hours

.

Sadly later on when i really HAD to do some serious overtime all i could get was nights, ips and collections which meant i had to work all the 30 hours i was booking

how come Royal Fail made a profit when we all used to ghost
i remember watching ice hockey at 8 pm on a sat and still being paid
longest shift i ever worked was 7.30 am on a friday till 6.00am on a saturday ot before and after my duty...........couldn't ghost that one as was all indoor work
checked some old P60's and in the late 80's and 90,s was earning way more than now

Well finally done my 71 hours .............. thought i would sleep for ages ............ but cant

Probably not much more than 50 with RM but when I was working away in the early nineties I once did a 98 hour week. Never again.

usually do 18 on top of my 40 hours. I don't go mad, as I need a social life as well.

Agree about the Tax, its quite shocking how much is taken off, sometimes after you go over a certain number of hours it is no longer cost effective, the Laws of Diminishing returns.

I havent worked o/t for 25 years and have no intetion of doing so in the forseeable future and when they come and try to up my job i'm affraid i'll be one to cut off regularly .... i take no crap from the bullies

I have worked my day off and have done 5 SAs in a week but no more,when you get to 40 every day is a bonus !.

You have to watch when you reach ten hours OT and then stop as it is not worth it,bring back ghosting ,at least the office was cleared each day with no fuss as it was worth being knackered.

I have done 70 hours in the past but not anymore

I only do floating week off overtime (can't stop at home all the time with my funny moody dad) and 1/2 days in a week occassionally. Don't have much time for overtime due to open university plus doing big walks make me uninterested.

Overtime pay is a bit crap due to 10 hours then drop and lose lots of money on tax.

Night shift duty-43 hours, doing a walk on overtime-43 hours, Sunday shift in the station- 8.5 hours. Total 94.5 hours plus subsistence all Summer long AND Royal Mail made a good profit, customers were happy and we made good money !
But it was 1985 !
Only do absolute minimum now, sign on at Duty start time, take full break and cut on the street.
