Belial suggested that we should find out how widespread the practice of telling people where the Test Letters are, so that you can give them priority. So let's find out.

Not the QofS test letters but I do recognise the local DOMs test letters.

They are not always letters, I have seen flats and mags.

I think there are 2 types of test letters, the ones RM send out (usually an A5 card along with a normal piece of mail in a plastic bag) and those that are sent out by the research company (these are just normal letters from members of the public who are a part of the 'secret shopper' scheme).

There are also local management ones that they send out occasionally - these just have a card inside that the receiver is asked to return with the date received written on it.

no-we are not told, the first we know is if we get a letter from head office thanking you for delivering them, or, worse getting pulled into the office to be told the letter was one day late ,or whatever.
Having said that, i believe some folks are always in the know.

Well, it looks like a fairly even split now. But surely there's little, if any point in sending Test Letters, if 51% (so far) of Posties know where they are.

Haven't seen a test one for a while but when we get them,they are sent separately and hand given to us!

QOS ones i haven't seen,i am a member of the company that does it,i got all the info and bits to be nosey but didn't go through with it,too lazy.
Wish i had now though.
