Moved to another DO for summer

Post by FLUFFY »

Hi all

Ive been moved to another DO as my usual walk has been split up at my DO for summer lapsing.

I have to travel to other DO takes me 30-40 mins each way, then I wait around for frame to be prepped then I bag it up.Its a full round (3 1/2) and hard going.. plus I dont know the area (was given a very nice google map !!)

What I need to know is how do I work my hours out and what am I entitled too. Can I claim travel time both ways and petrol allowance....any help would be appreciated as old Dom and new Dom are telling me different things like ive said before RM`s rules and wage structure are so friggin complicated

many thanks

Let them sort you out, turn up at your delivery office at your start time, then they can transport you to the new office, and tell them you want taking back to your office for your finish time. Why use your car? They going to pay for a new 1 if it breaks down?

first thing is that you should not be absorbing outdoor work and anything at your office should be agreed at your mandatory resource meeting.
your office is liable for you , you should start at your office,be driven in a royal mail van to another office and be returned by a royal mail van all within your duty.

if you use your own car to travel to another office your car insurance will probably not be valid as this is classed as business use.

As you probably know from other posts i've made 5 of our guys got moved to another DO out of our postcode area, as we are short staffed now we have 4 staff come from another DO also from a different postcode area, in what way does this make sense?
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Very true.

One of ours is the spitting image of the guy in the Nationwide adverts. I daren't ask him why I can't take a day off at short notice during our so-called 'quiet' summer months. You just know he's gonna say

DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT !
