Re: grrr ebay again
I had to go and check but the ZX81 had 1k of RAM, the Spectrum had 16k up to 128k, the BBC had 16 & 32k, the VIC 20 had 5k and the C64 had 64k, all these memories where flash memory and (for you younger readers) no hard drives (everything had to be loaded in from tapes/5¼ inch disks/cartridges everytime you needed to use them).

Re: grrr ebay again
lol. spend 2 hours on a saturday night very carefully on a zx81, and press enter. get one blip haha.
wasn't there a commodore c16 in 1982? i used to make the plastic console for the bbc dragon. sincliar plus was run on tape. trivial pursuit was good on that.
had a lot of better things on that machine. then came the atari

Re: grrr ebay again
There was a C16 but that was only sold in the US, there was a C116 which was sold in Europe but TBH I can't remember them (had to refer to Wikipedia for the information).
I also remember writing the programs in BASIC (and occasionally in machine code but only from a book) and having to save them to tape

i just looked at wiki.. it was the c64 i remembered in 1982, white fascia. 64 kb memory. that was quite a bit of a breakthrough at the time. think it cost about a months pay

Re: grrr ebay again
don't believe this.. home shirt from last week has been refunded. so i needed a replacement from elsewhere. won a similar shirt on sunday, it arrived this morning 15 minutes ago. lol, i heard a knock on the door, when i got to answer, the posty went round the side door and as he was coming back up, he said he's left it by the door for me.. now, if i wasn't here just like he thought there wasn't anyone in cos the front door wasn't answered, meaning if i wasn't here at all, he would have left it there anyway. on the doorstep.
opened the packet, took the shirt out, nice looking shirt. not quite as mint as described but i'd say excellent. then it caught my eye. lose stitching around the collar. actually, no stitching in some parts argghhhhhh. here we go again tut
