They dont have any argument other than "its up to me!"

Well, it is up to you.

RULES wrote: If someone has a different position to you please respect their right to have differing views, and enjoy yourself when picking holes in their position in a constructive way. We would much rather have a long winded well thought out argument, picking out weak points in someone's position, than have a thread full of 1 line insults.

Please do not in any circumstances resort to name calling or behaviour that could be deemed as bullying or harassment.

I think Postman is having a go at all of us, the in-fighting is getting a little tedious now. I for one appreciate all you have done to make posties life's better but you must remember that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.

You'll not be able to help everyone :cool

ermm, think you've got the wrong end of the stick mate.
It's a general posting aimed at everyone, due to....
We've had some serious problems, over the last couple of months. With people being abusive in threads about the BNP, and people coming in early, and using their cars on Deliveries.

Some people, have mistakenly thought, that we don't want people to be passionate about their beliefs. But nothing could be further from the truth!

It's not WHAT people are saying. It's the WAY THEY'RE SAYING IT. That we object to. For example: Saying that someone is a F*****g B*****d, is unacceptable. But saying that someone is disloyal to their Collegues, Union, etc.. And that they're undermining our attempts to protect our service, terms and conditions. IS acceptable. So long as you explain WHY you think that. Because it's an opinion, which you've explained. Rather than just an insult. :hmmmm

Please bear in mind, that this Forum is open to EVERYONE. And some of the threads that we've had recently. If we hadn't spent so much time editing and deleting posts. Would have given outsiders, the false impression, that we're just a bunch of thugs. Who attack anyone who doesn't agree with us. And I for one, wouldn't want people to think that way about me, or my Collegues. Would you? :hmmmm

We don't want to stifle debate. Quite the contrary. We just want you to all check your posts, and think about how others might percieve your posts. BEFORE you click on Submit.

Thanks.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Yes. But you have to have a certificate signed by your doctor to prove you are a space cadet who can't see what is going on around you.
