Strangest thing I found was a selection of what are best called "Marital Aids"! Open plan Army Quarters, saw the packet at a distance lying on the grass. As I got closer my first guess was confirmed ( I've seen pictures of these things on the backs of magazines! Not that I've ever bought any of course!!) Still had the preformed packaging attached. All I can think of was some horny squaddy suggested to his missus she might like to try them out. She blew a gasket and lobbed them out of the bedroom window! I did consider knocking on the door and asking her if she'd lost something but thought better of it. :wave

Just wondered what things other posties come across on the doorstep?

As I do a rural I dont usually find any of the bad things you chaps have found. The most exciting thing for me is mice, sheep and cow turds, dirty wellies, geese(that want to kill you) and once i found a double barrelled shotgun, although the farmer let me have a few shots of it when he came round the corner and saw me staring at it. :chuckle

A dead woman - and I am not kidding - apparently she died of old age and no one noticed till I got there next day. Not on that duty any more.

One of the guys at my work found a dead person as well,he saw a pair of legs poking out of the doorway .Threw the mail through the open door thinking he was just drunk and asleep as it was a saturday morning.Just as well he did'nt look around the door as the guy has blown his head off with a shotgun!!

Not long back I found a stack of about a dozen boxes of adult nappies left outside someones door by a non RM courier. At the wrong address. Should have been delivered to an address several streets away.
Just spilt stain-remover down my shirt. Now how do I get that out?

Yesterday I was following an old guy up the street and kept stopping and emtying cans of cat meat out on people's doorsteps! I asked what he was doing and just casually said"I feed animals"!
Imagine stepping out the door into a pile of cat food, especially if you don't own a cat!! Nutter

Reminds me of the story about the guy who was pissed off with his neighbours cat, who kept crapping in his garden. He picked the crap up, wrapped it up in tissue, put it on his neighbours doorstep, set fire to it, rung the doorbell and ran away.

The women next door opened the door, saw the fire and tried to stamp it out! Wearing her big fluffy slippers! :left:
