Jaw dropping,Royal Mail prepared to weather strikes for 6 months.A death wish if there was ever one.
Conclusion-they'd rather have 6 months of srtike action than negotiate for a settlement-unbelievable.Or is it all talk?
Royal Mail have a real ego problem-I don't think they want to lose face.
Can't believe this article,at least we know where we stand now.I'd say they have absolutely no intention of any compromising their position.I hopefully think it will make our position stronger.They obviously want a fight-which they have said when informing the media when Indusrial Action was first mooted.
Maybe they think we will give in when the Industrial Action starts hitting us financailly.
Still can't believe their attitude.

FACT. The regulator will still fine RM for a USO failure. After 6 months of strike action, who will feel it more financially. I'M PREPARED TO STRIKE FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES TO BEAT THESE 2 LEECHERS. LET'S HOPE THE MAJORITY DO TOO.

but i personally feel that gordon brown will intervene before it goes on as he wont want his first few months in power to be all about strikes

prob give adam and al a golden handshake as they are so arrogant they dont wanna be seen to lose face and give an inch to our demands
they save face we get what we want thats how i see it going down

I dont think Brown will get involved,he'll let RM & CWU fight it out,it'll be a long fight as well i believe,both sides at the top level have a lot of face to loose.We will be out on one day and possibly two day strikes for about four months i reckon.That will hurt the ordrinary run of the mill postman and i feel some will have no choice to give in and return to work on strike days.

Once Â£60 per week is stopped out of wages for a few weeks on the trot its gonna hurt,a two day strike will see Â£120 stopped out of ones wages,could be Â£300 a month its gonna build up and people will struggle on mortgage repayments,those with high mortgages and a couple of kids to feed will have some serious thinking to,Unfortunately RM know this all to well.

I urge the RM and CWU to get their heads together and talk,myself i will follow the IA but i only have a certain amount of savings put by and will break in to that if i need to,I know a lot of posties who live from week to week and barely make their repayments on a normal week.

Looks like my holiday may be put on hold this year

Royal Mail Cannot afford extended strike action the regulator and the Goverment want their invested money back.

The CWU will give you the correct information, Royal Mail are turning out desperate spin in an effort to put fear into you.

Those who are thinking of going into to work on 29th remember Leighton wants 40000 of your jobs to go!!
