I saw an email today on my dims computer asking for dims to go up to the above and help out. The email said that the postmen are on an overtime ban and work to rule causing massive problems for RM. the email also said that Dundee have applied to a higher being for an extra twenty postmen to be employed. My first thought was howcome they suddenly need an extra twenty postmen when they obviously didnt think they needed them before. Stand firm Dundee colleagues.

We at Dundee West could do with more people in the job, but for some reason I can't see it happening. Interesting to know though! Keep your ear to the ground friend.

since work to rule started on wednesday, managers have been drafted in from weegie land, and surrounding areas, also, 20 part timers are being made up to full time for 12 weeks.

Ive long held the opinion, that its part timers who hold the key to making or breaking an office.
If they work contracted hours, and dont come in for 2 hours ot when required- having the piss taken basically, they would stand more chance of getting full time, but they cut each others throats for a couple of hours docket.

One week, theyre in, next week, managers says your not needed, then, in for 2 days, not in, in again, on and on.

Just say NO.........and hey presto, your full time.
