That's just the problem the pathways aren't short and the walk cannot be completed in any less than 4hrs...it even has quite a lot of deadwalking involved...it takes me 3.5hrs on an easy day such as Saturday or Tuesday but I even have to book on these days sometimes because we are on long and shorts and these two days are obviously the shorts.

Two postmen at our office worked over by 1 hour today and didn't book O/T. Why? Because they've been intimidated by the DOM. The Rep has told the DOM that several people work over on a regular basis, but don't book because of intimidation. The DOM refuses to believe him and the people involved haven't got the bottle to prove the Rep is correct.

They tried and tried using managers from outside (only there for leave) and failed theres no way i'd back down i knew i was doing the job correctly and there was fcuk all they could do from trying to be nice to me down to being sly hiding watching me (caught them and pulled them into the office next day) with results that they backed right off until the next one came (lino) and tried and failed never , never let them grind you down i didn't but i did cause some things to happen with the managers (no details as never know who's on line ) i'm now no longer harrased, intimidated etc... at all

I was doing the job properly and cutting off or booking ot for the last 8months until two ish weeks ago dom changed my duty and start time very petty as it does not sort the prob. Theperson doing the duty now does not cut off but continues with booking ot everyda as it takes 4 hours on a quiet day now just heard its getting another 45mins added in summer lapsing. Glad I've been moved. Still doing things properly on this duty and will cut off as soon kids go back to school next week. The only downside to my new duty is customers keep complaining they don't get there post till late I just tell them now I'm employed to work the time I'm delivering ring rm if you want to complain.

The sector manager,has let it be known that since all the exec action in the various offices in his area,his budget has overshot by £86000!!!,it was meant to save money!!!

i am shocked and horrified by what i am hearing about your situations,i work in a mail centre but used to do deliveries,i simply cant believe what is going on out there.You have my every sympathy and i only wish the union was stronger where you are!!! I know we are sheltered in a mail centre ,in terms of the environment.We have good union representation.We still have managers as bullies and i guess that is true everywhere nowadays.I think strike action is needed across the board now!!!

i've been in the job almost 20 years and i know how you feel . it used to be great but now it's completely shite. i'm looking for a way out myself but what else is there, i have no trade or skill. i feel i'll just have to put up with all the crap & just live in hope something will come along.

As there's no natinally agree prep rate, there's not much they can do. My advice is not to go deliberately slow. Just remember: You're not dealing with honourable people.

Morale in all the offices nationally, are at an all time low. All these dom's are getting shafted by the people at the top...i do have some sympathy for some dom's but i have more sympathy for us postal workers that are getting pressurised and bullied from the dom. It's not on, and this has to stop, not long ago i signed a diversity form to say i will respect my colleague's and others, and it seems this has been thrown out the window because they have no respect for us.

Using cars, coming in early just results in saving money...and this is what RM wants to do is to save money, but in the wrong way of going about it. The most depressing matter is you keep on telling people to stop taking there car, don't come in early, but they still do it!

it was one my colleagues last at work on Thurs passed, he get EVR, lucky sod. Anyway he had tied up his duty, although pulled the mailsort, ect as there was shedloads, and got his mail in his bags and begn to recieve well wishes from us when the ass! Dom pulled him up to tell to re-frame his walk and clear absulutly everything, yes take all the bundles out his bags and re-frame, include all the mailsort ect, about 10mins later he was told to take his full 40 mins meal relief...usually 20-20, whilst a manger commenced to prep his walk, upon his return to his frame to finish framing up his walk, 3 managers stood round him to make sure it was all boxed in....total areholes, the mans last day of work after about 12 yrs service, and was treated like shite!! he didnt get out on his walk and was told he would have to take everything, and if he brought anything back something would happen about his EVR money and him, perhaps suspended (he was on annual leave until his official leaving day)...not sure what they could have done there.....scumbag bullies
