Hey TBT - get old disgruntled pretending he doesn't know what a penny farthing is - huh he used to have one on his delivery.
What's that you say young manImage
You know what is said about deafness - well if you keep at it you'll start getting short of breath and things will look blurred. Not that I'm speaking from experience you understand
You forgot the hairy hands
And just how did you know I have hairy hands might I ask? :Very Happy

The Type 3 ones, which can be used on the Roads, have indicators fitted. Although they ARE allowed on the pavements, so long as the speed limiter is activated. So if you see one doing more than 4MPH (the speed that RM seem to think is possible for you to walk on deliveries), then it's breaking the Law, travelling on the pavement.

I used to ride my bike on the footpath - it was quicker and safer than the road - whenever the public remonstrated with me I was extremely polite and apologetic - i did not knock anyone down. Although I did have a minor disagreement with a security bloke in a shopping precinct.

Before i was the union rep we had a girl fall off her bike in the ice and break her collar bone, she was on the pavement to avoid the school mummies driving their semi-guided kiddy missiles on the school run .
She got no help from RM or the union because she was on the pavement.
On my induction course 7 years ago we were told on one day that we were not to cycle on the pavement and then the next day that we could.
Someone said "hang on a minute, yesterday we were told that we should not cycle on the pavement and now you are saying otherwise".
His answer was that he did not want his cycling posties killed!.
Unfortunately collective amnesia struck and she now works elsewhere with a duff collarbone.
