WHEN Parveedar Button was told she needed a new kidney following years of illness it came as a devastating blow.

But today, the mother-of-two is a picture of heath and it is all thanks to her husband Laurence who donated one of his own kidneys.

Ask the 31-year-old what she thinks of her husband and her response is immediate - “he is my hero”.

The kitchen assistant from Ipswich School said: “He has given me my life back.

“It is so precious what he has given me and it was hard to accept. But it makes our life normal. I thank him a lot.

“He is my hero.”

Ipswich postie Laurence revealed his kindness had left him safe in the knowledge that he has given his wife the best possible present - and one which has transformed her life.

He said: “I have given her something that I know she desperately needed.”
