What about Saturday
What happens on Saturday as I am led to beleive we will not be paid any overtime to enable is to complete our deliveries. Do we simply cut off

If they won't pay you overtime and you don't want to work over - yes work to the rules.
Don't tell them you are "cutting off" just say you can't complete the round in your normal working time and you can't/don't want to work over. However it may be quite quiet as the MCs/SOs will be out as well so only Fridays stuff may be waiting for you. Monday will be a killer though.

So just follow that 318, obey all health and safety rules and work to your time. . . . . easy.

MDEC, THIS IS WHERE WE LOSE THE DISPUTE. AS A REP, I WOULD IMPLORE EVERY CWU MEMBER TO WORK TO 318 SATURDAY, MONDAY. AS I POSTED ON ANOTHER LINK, IN DELIVERY RM OPERATES A CLEAR OFFICE POLICY. IF IT'S PREPPED INTO YOUR FRAME BY THE SCREWS ON THE FRIDAY, REFUSE TO TAKE IT. IF THEY TRY TO DO YOU FOR WILFUL DELAY, ASK THE DOM WHICH SCREW PREPPED IN AND DELIVERED HALF OF THE DUTY. FIND OUT THEIR NAME AND DO THE BASTARD FOR WILFUL DELAY TOO.
I KNOW OF AN OFFICE IN BIRMINGHAM WHERE POSTIES HAVE REFUSED TO TAKE MAIL AFTER INCLEMENT WEATHER THE DAY BEFORE. A FEW LADS COULDN'T GET TO WORK COS OF SNOW, NEXT DAY THEY WENT IN AND THEIR FRAME WAS FULL OF MAIL. THEY TOLD THE DOM TO F**K OFF WHEN HE TOLD THEM THEY HAD TO DELIVER IT. IT GOT CLEARED ON DOCKET.
