Good luck mate, I think everyone is behind you, esp me, I hope the management get lynched. I had another bad encounter today with my DOM, Finished my walk at about 2:10 and phoned my driver up for my lift back as its about a 6 mile walk back to the office from finish point, but his phone was off, obviously gone home, so rang my DOM to see if he would arrange a lift back for me as I had some regi's that needed returning as I couldn't deliver them, he said ok, give me 5 mins and i'll ring you back!' OK no problems.... 25 mins went by with me looking like a stalker outside the school at finish time, no phone call so I rang him back and guess what? Bloody phone off :evil/mad
I though F**k this and jumped on the bus, driver let me on free even though I was gonna pay, got to the office at 3:50, no DOM - he'd gone home, miserable old cow in regi locker going ape s**t cos I hadn't got the undeliverables back before 2:30 (wining on about how they need to be entered in system on time or they lose 'points' whatever that means lmao)
I just said to her, do I look like I give a toss, RM cant even get me back from my walk to bring the shitty regi's back so give all your abuse to the DOM, he's the one to blame.
I swear, i'm going to have a mental breakdown before my 3 month contract is up, i've never felt so badly treated by a company in my life. Every day that goes by now at work, even just the smallest things are starting to make my blood boil :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

Best wishes to wranglered and hope you have a successful outcome. Mucho respect and go for their jugular.

They should not be shoved straight onto the reserve and told to get on with it - it is a pointless exercise and does nobody any good. You need to see the office coach and the CWU rep. ( make sure you are a member ) ASAP to get this matter sorted before it gets out of hand. This sort of thing is why coaching was introduced as our beloved company found that after spending a fortune in recruiting people they were then leaving because they were dumped on. Seems that in some places it still happens
Sorry to revive a very old thread.

I had a very good coach; worked withh him for three days; then on his round for a week. The worst week of my life as I had no idea what I was doing. Got over that and did one walk for 8 weeks. Then was made a reserve. Have now done 25 walks in 22 months.

I always get called to do two or three 'special' villiage walks.. All named houses and that stuff. Not a problem withh me as I enjoy them and claim O/T when I am late.

Then just before Cristmas I got handed a float (due to someones sickness) which meant i had to learn three walks (I knew two) blind in the busiest period. I had to do a first time 'blind' on Christmas Eve! How good is that.

Not really sure why I posted this. Just a bit Piss(ed) off I suppose

Completely agree lekker. I'm a coach at our office and to start with our Dom tried messing new entrants about. I had the relevant paperwork and had a meeting to thrash things out and devise a proper plan. We've had many new entrants now and the plan is adhered to every time, i'm glad to say. A coach's responsibility is to look after new entrants , and they also need to have a backbone at times.
