Three people have been treated in the hospital after hydrogen peroxide leaked out of a parcel at a postal sorting office in the canton of Bern. Concentrated hydrogen peroxide is corrosive and can cause serious irritation to the eyes, nose and mouth. After the leak, the post office in Uetendorf was evacuated while specialists and the police made the area safe. The three injured workers have been treated for headaches, breathing problems and burns to their hands.
