If a manager keeps getting at you about claiming overtime on your delivery ,saying things like your dragging your feet or the other( roadrunner ) postman can do it quicker ask the line manager one simple question .Do you think i am defrauding overtime the manager normally says " im not saying that " to which you reply so what are you saying , normlly conversation finishes :lfoSi67 wrote:Thanks for support.. exactly , call his bluff put it on the spot , log everything , time , date , who , what , where , whom etc to back you up - take pictures with the mobile , "accidentally" switch on recording devices but with discretion as RM have been on You Tube too often .WHITEANT wrote:If a manager keeps getting at you about claiming overtime on your delivery ,saying things like your dragging your feet or the other( roadrunner ) postman can do it quicker ask the line manager one simple question .Do you think i am defrauding overtime the manager normally says " im not saying that " to which you reply so what are you saying , normlly conversation finishes :lfoSi67 wrote:Thanks for support.. To which I would add the following when criticisms or allegations are made by your line manager consider writing and asking him or her to substantiate their criticisms and allegations in writing by providing substantive and quantifiable evidence. When he or she doesn't reply or fails to supply substantive or quantifiable evidence, write again pointing out that you've asked for justification and that he or she has chosen not to reply or has failed to justify their claim.
On the third occasion point out in writing that making allegations and refusing to substantiate them in writing or failing to provide substantive and quantifiable evidence is a form of HARASSMENT. The line manager's criticisms and allegations, which are usually founded on distortion, blame and fabrication, are an opinion and fabrication for the purpose of control.
In many instances the pen can indeed be mightier than the sword.

Re: working to time
We have a classic 1 shot answer at the moment with managers that keep harping on about us taking the mick,
Can you put that in writing and please don't forget to sign it so we know who we have to come to or send an answer to,you can imagine how a manager re-acts to that one,it goes like this.
1.I don't have to answer to any of you.
2. I don't have to justify myself to you your only staff.
3.You do that on purpose you staff.
4.I suppose you think your cleaver or being smart!

If it was his own mobile phone, then he's every right to be angry. That would be disgraceful.

Well out of order allowing a customer to speak directly to a DOM - DOM's are answerable to nobody, definitely not the customers they are meant to serve, and should never have to face the real world outside of their offices.
