been off sick over xmas and new year told i have lost my
bank holidays i.e xmas ,boxing,and new year,s day.
is this correct.

I've never heard of Bank Holidays being credited while off sick, just annual leave.

have to disagree there, you can't be off sick, on anual leave, taking a public holiday and have a days special leave all at the same time. Assuming you notified the office that you were off sick, then you remain so until you inform them otherwise. One point though you cannot backdate your absence ie you couldn't phone up on the 27th and say i was sick yesterday (boxing day) so i'll have that back thanks.

No you don't get a day in lieu for the Bank Holiday if you were sick, unfortunately.
