From royal mail yesterday
Payment under the Colleague Share scheme with regard to 2008/09
performance has not yet been determined and will be finalised and
announced once the Group financial results for the year have been audited
and declared. This will then indicate if the National target has been
met.
This year the local target for all offices in Royal Mail Letters is the
Royal Mail Letters profit target and this will become clear once financial
results have been finalised, audited and announced.

Royal Mail Group made good progress in 2008-09 with operating profit increasing to £321 million from £162 million the previous year. First and Second Class letter targets were hit along with key business mail targets, and a raft of modernisation and efficiency measures introduced. Competition from electronic media and other postal operators intensified with almost ten million fewer letters a day being handled than just three years ago but the transformation of the business is well underway and on track to ensure it has the modern operation key to its future.

The Royal Mail, which has announced a pay freeze for this year for its 176,000 employees, said workers will receive a dividend payment of £400 each in the next few weeks.

'the next few weeks' is not 'the end of May' surely ?????ice man wrote: my manager got a email from head office today saying we had met all targets and would get the bonus payment at the end of may saw the email with me own eyes

Re: bonus june 2009
i still think it will be the same as last year, now the accounts have been published,
50/50 next week,then £200 for group the following week,and a further £200 for
local the week after,as some will get nothing for 50/50 ,as has been stated you
will receive £400 in the next few weeks.(or if you interpret it another way £400
over the course of the next few weeks)

In my office £424 -Processing.Managers ,wait for it-£4,500 bonus if they achieve certain targets.Managers being royal pain at moment as their bonus depends on what happens in the next 2 weeks.Nearly had a clearance failure the other morning.

Re: bonus june 2009
It is stated in the last issue of the courier also that we will be getting a £400 Colleague Share dividend payment for hitting group targets, that will be seperate from the local office bonus. The feeling when the payment will be seems to be the 29th may.robd wrote:i still think it will be the same as last year, now the accounts have been published,

At WTL today we were told that £400 would be paid 'at end of May' - presumably Friday 29th.
Also told we would get £135.52 - 50/50 savings payment on Friday 22nd May.

Re: bonus june 2009
In a way we should be gratefull ,for under this 50/50 saving many offices are way over budget due to National Operational requirements so at least they have not clawed that money back.
