When we had a local strike in Sale about 3 years ago NOBODY went in. I was so proud of them, even the no union members stayed away, people who had only been working there for a couple of weeks also stayed out.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. I'm actually going to be in Wales, camping ( and drinking & shagging sheep - when in Rome, and all that :D ), but I'll be trying to find the location of the nearest DO & join the picket there, if they'll have me.
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?
Mail delivery; those that can, do, those that can't, MANAGE!
our rep is on leave next week, it's been booked for some time, he offered to change his week but the DUM told him "you can't change your leave, you will not come to work next week and if you set foot on Royal Mail property any time next week I'll immediately suspend you"
How's that for throwing your toys out the pram
Of course the rep will come in, he'll stand just outside the gate where they can't touch him. . . . . nice

Well, seeing as you've obviously been there before, can you tell me where the nearest DO is?
