I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yep got it and it said

a) the union said that there wouldn't be a strike - - - I don't remember that, I voted to strike after all :no no

b) we will lose £60 for going out - - - if that were true I'd be taking home £300 a week for 5 days work and no docket :no no

c) we've just lost the amazon contract - - - forgot to mention we just won back the RBS contract for some reason :no no

d) they'd like to treat us as adults and tell us the truth - - - we'd like that too so please start doing it :no no

e) they remain available to tell the union their position - - - great but it's negotiation we need not another lecture :no no

f) we can't improve our offer of 2.5% on basic pay - - - fine just take away the strings then, that'll do :no no

g) we've been in meetings with the cwu over the last 2 years - - - yes but you've forgotten all about the agreements you signed that you now don't like anymore :no no

h) we must change and change for good - - - at last one we agree on, but changing doesn't have to mean walking all over and ignoring your biggest asset, the people who do the work :no no

IN SHORT :cfo AND :lfo I'M STILL GOING OUT

I sent mine back. They've got nothing to say. I wonder what their reaction would be if I found out their home addresses and sent letter after letter to them giving my views? I don't know who they think they are imposing upon people constantly.

Hence why I put this in bold on a another thread

Remember the aftermath of a Strike is almost as important as the Strike itself.

I must be the odd one out as I like to get these letters. Once they are shredded they go straight into the hampsters cage. Saves me buying bedding for them.LOL
