Re: 9% Letter Volumes Fall Further 9%
It doesn't mention any of the savings they have made by getting rid of 50k postal workers over the last 5 years.
50k X 15k pa(average figure) = 750m savings per annum
9% drop in volume X 70m = 630m loss per annum
50k X 15k pa(average figure) = 750m savings per annum
9% drop in volume X 70m = 630m loss per annum
The time has come to stop turning the other cheek, time to stop shaking our heads in bitter dismay, time to stop mumbling our angry words.
The time has come for union.
The time has come for union.

I just feel it's us posties who are baring the brunt of the ill advised measures brought in. Mail down 9%? Lets just make the postmen deliver 25% more.

They would save millions by making the courier available online and not sending out a hard copy.krussel wrote:I just pray they dont make it 9% smallerk979aaa wrote:PRAVDA had something worth living/dying for while the COURIER has corporate bullsh*t by the bucket load pass the bucket as it makes me feel SICK!.savo wrote:Maybe they should rename it as PRAVDA ?![]()

Or even more by just not bothering at all...
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.

Perhaps they only count the ones that are delivered on time and not stuck in Yorkies because of the cull in hours

Re: 9% Letter Volumes Fall Further 9%
I think who ever writes for the Courier ,honestly deserves a award, for the best written Propaganda since WW2,I was spitting when read that, had another crap day, almost every house, just finished on time, just but having to keep a pace up,loads of recorded awarkard shaped packets ,to small for the driver .The courier also said Specials and Recordeds are down ,not in my Office.
Seems to me more Companies are doing mail shots than ever before,1 guy in our office said in the last recession mail volumes went updue to companies trying to get trade.
Where does the Courier mention these massive walks we do now.
Also regarding misdeliverys,a whole topic and not always posties fault, the local emergencey services had a campaign recently to try to get every house to have a house number on it .
I know I did a round once a Council estate ,where the numbers and layout could have been designed by Stevie Wonder,
goes something like1,2,3,100,98,25,27,5,etc put the wrong letters through the door got loads of abuse from this Female of sorts, suggested she might put a house number on the House, replied .Fu--ing Council should do that so I said put a card in your window with house number on ,only to get more abuse about f--KING stupid Postmen.
Hope one day she needs Emergencey services .who will then be delayed finding her house as no number on it ,then she might regret not listening to that Fu--ing Stupid Postman!

Re: 9% Letter Volumes Fall Further 9%
There has been an ever increasing number of unfranked stamped mail over the last 6 months I bet that has not been counted either, otherwise it would have been franked.
