Re: Election Material
As far as i'm aware the G (Glasgow) postcode is once again getting 6p per item.
With 600 odd calls and possibly 18 leaflets, it's going to be a nightmare to deliver, but for once the money should be ok.

My God, it never ceases to amaze me what DOMs try to get up to (you can be guaranteed that the money would have been allocated to his office budget).vbarna50 wrote:Questioned our Dom on the poll cards this morning .. he claimed we would receive no extra payment for delivery as they were 2nd class .. i queried it and showed him Bob Gibson's letter .. he disappeared to find out more information .. came back later in the morning to say that yes, we would get paid ... result

I won't be delivering BNP leaflets. If these bastard wannabe Stuka pilots want to stand in elections, let them deliver their own stuff.

Re: Election Material
We had polling cards last week but when our Rep enquired about payment and the agreement with CWU,he was told they didn't qualify as they werent Polling cards! After he finished laughing,he pointed out that what did the phrase "Official Poll Card" mean then? He then got told that no one in the Midlands area was being paid for them so why should we! When he also told her that it was 3p per item not per delivery point and if she was wrong and had to pay how was it going to be worked out as they had now been delivered-she nearly had a seizure! Anyway,Rep has now flagged it up as far as Bob Gibson.Problem is,if they continue to ignore this agreement and every other agreement we seem to make what can we do? Most in our office haven't got a clue what is going on and each town division does things differently to the next, all in the same City,so some parts of the office start at a different time to others, some are absorbing, some are flexing, its a total mess!

Re: Election Material
Is there some guide/framework in place for how the payment per item is calculated. We've been told in advance of anything arriving that all items are will be 3p. Surely there is official figures for size/weight etc.

Re: Election Material
I've already seen that, it doesn't answer my question, (or if it does it's in some kind of code!). What is it that defines a cost of 3p as opposed to 6.6p or anything in between, usually size and weight define this kind of thing, if so what are they.laudrup11 wrote:See post 2 by TrueBlueTerrier mate.Himaggen wrote:Is there some guide/framework in place for how the payment per item is calculated. Do you really think that I am supposed to accept 3p without questioning it especially now that the majority of my DO have already posted all of the polling cards, it now appears for free!

Re: Election Material
We need national agreements on things like this. The payments should be the same for everyone not diffrent ammounts in each area. One of the big things the CWU is worried about is regional pay, surely that is what this is?
