Our manager informed everyone via the tannoy where he told us "This year Royal Mail have "offered" you a pay freeze"

I damn near pissed my pants. Offered FFS.

If the profits are strong enough to warrant paying-out the ColleagueShare payment of £400, then they must be sufficiently large to allow RM to give us a pay increase !!!!

Just remember the RM rhetoric at the start of the last pay battle in 2007. Can't remember exactly, but didn't they 'offer' us a lump sum of £250 and NO pay increase originally, telling us 'there will be no more money' & 'The offer is the offer' blah blah ??
