Not a bad delivery day, roughly half of the sky mags done and finished on time.
Best news of the day........apparently there's no sky mags next month. They've combined May and June into one edition to save on their costs.
At least that's off my back ! :dance

Started work at 1:30, was meant to go into RLE, got told by the manager's father in law that I was going out to do a 1/3 of a round that I've never delivered before (funny how he's never sent out on delivery though...). Got to the frame to find that all the residential mail had been taken and I was left with the businesses and shops. I didn't start delivery until 14:10 so I wonder if that was mentioned on the DODR as a USO failure? I doubt it very much.

I'm still on light duties, not meant to be driving for long but ended up driving myself out there as I figured I would only be stopping once to park up so not too bad. Did the third, got whinged at, one of the residential places I delivered to went along the lines of "f**kin post at this time of day?" etc.

Got back into RLE at 15:50, answered the phone, only to get whinged at because a redelivery hadn't appeared again (3rd day on the trot). I looked out to see that none of "my" parcels (i.e. the ones I would be doing if I wasn't on light duties) hadn't been done for 3 days and the other york hadn't been touched today either.

Piss up and brewery springs to mind.

Then the enquiry office was s**t busy and as I was locking up, a few minutes after I should have been, some daft bint was trying to get thru the door while the shutter was coming down. Then she stood there being a drama queen going on about it coming down on her head etc. I thought to myself "well if you'd a) turned up before closing time and b) not tried to get thru the door after the shutter had started to come down then you wouldn't be moaning".
