What i dont understand is why would a manager not have the balls to come onto a forum and be upfront and honest with their views and convictions.

I dunno - maybe telling the truth to the riff raff and serfs is congenitally and pathologically impossible to certain managers?

Might pay you all to remove your fingers from unsavoury orafices and/or not resort to the old RMC witch hunt stuff (same old, same old) when unable to accept that not everyone sees things the same. My job and my personal life are entirely mine and for all you know I work in Cardiff, Norwich or Penzance. Maybe all three. Nice try but I still think we're lucky to be employed at all in the present climate.

No, tell you what, give a strike a try. Give Dave a ring. No wonder we're seen as unskilled.

There are several managers (and ex managers) on the site, I'm sure they are as pissed as us about the pay freeze but they're unlikely to make a fuss because they could end up being demoted to delivery

Life must be great for you seeing as your obviously a time travelling postman, but I'm not sure you even know where you work. Nobody was interested in your job or personal life, so why lie about something as mundane as time in service? I think any credibility you may have had, disappeared out the door several post back.

That's a new one on RMC - a science fiction drama concept :left: , we used to get " embellished " service records with the managers in another service prior to privatization , one was supposed to have had 25 years in ; when the reality was that he was an ex teacher and had left the job as 4C at Bash St had worked out that Sir was a complete ar**hole .

A colleague said that he reminded him of Billy & Johnny , the patronizing spoof children's TV presenters off Hale & Pace , as was only used to dealing with 7 - 9 year old kids . He'd spent that much time with the kids that he acted like one .

The downside was the pettiness , juvenile spite and vindictiveness , he couldn't take any criticism of anything whatsoever be it real or imaginary - it was all a personal affront to him ; a hyper - sensitive lunatic that should not be in charge of people . Like most bullies , he lived in a fantasy world where he was always right and nobody could challenge him , think they had a piece on him in the staff paper collecting bus tickets or coins or similar . :left: - that's a bully as well a huge but fragile ego :hmmmm .

He was also partial to selling off the firms antique furniture too , had a van sent round , made 4 grand on one piece , that didn't go into the company's revenue .

We'd a decent manager before him but he made the mistake of standing up to the Area Director who was a mason , he got a letter saying " We no longer have any confidence in your supervisory abilities " so he was moved sideways .
RM have the equivalent of Gulags in Siberia too , for people who don't toe :lfo & :cfo 's line to the letter

It's like RM now going for all these graduates to fasttrack through as it's easier to fill their heads with cr** than someone who has come through the ranks . They tended to be either too clever by half trying to throw the rule book at people but thick as two short planks in other ways .

P** poor recruitment and selection and too much complication & politics as they couldn't run a p*** up in a brewery .

Eventually all these empire building ego maniacs and their stooges were got rid of , they'd got better Senior Management and they couldn't afford jobs for the boys and idiots pretending to be private sector badly .
They'd outlived their usefulness .

Too much Deja Vu with RM , it's all a farce .
