I pedometered mine a couple of years back, came out 10.6 miles which seemed more than enough.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

I did as well and it came out as 12.3 miles but with loads of steps I think it was wrong - I tend to think its about 8.5 to 9

My god, I wish my walk could be don in under 3 hours let alone 1.139  my average walk takes me 4 hours 15ish and thats at a very brisk walking speed, and my managers dont give a fu*k, when I try and cut off, I get a torrent of abuse from my DOM saying nobody else moans or cuts off and to just claim the overtime as postcomm sets rules, union is about as much use as a toilet brush with no bristles so I and everyone else on ridiculouse walks have to bite out lip and do it!. You have it easy if your walk is under 4 hours and trying hard IMO.

You really need to develop a thick skin, I'm usually the only one to cut off in my office  just take enough to take you to your time and let the DOM cover everything else (let them test you and they'll know you're not taking the pee).
