Hello to everyone;
I work in a office of approx 130 posties and as the 29 june approaches i am already begining to hear about the ones that have said that they will be coming in to work,some are cwu members and posties of long standing.
What annoys me is that i know it was a democratic vote to strike and that you put your x where you feel you should however i am giving up a days pay to hopefully achieve better wages and conditons of working, where as they will come in to work and get paid,and should we achieve our goal they will reap the benefits without loss of pay.
I know its mean but i just wish that as they chose to come in to work that the management would say to them that as you agreed to work you obviously agree with royal mails term and conditions for the future and you will be given a new contract to sign so that when they ask you after completion of your own duty we require you to take out part of another but you will be unable to book the overtime for it..... am i bieng to mean?
Welcome Orange - no I think you got it spot on. If you agree with the new contract go in sign and accept it. If not get on the picket line with us.

It sounds fair to me. What's more, I would have them all on a six day 44 hour week for 50p per hour. That way, they wouldn't have to taint themselves with any of the benefits we Union people have won for them.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
With you all the way, 6 into 5 NO PROBLEM give it to those that work, not US we have chosen to lose pay and in doing so are SCREAMING that we don't agree with it.....Give the 21 strings to them!
we are all in this together.
if people go in management will be inside thier little office taking the p**s out of us.
It will cause bad feelings to all concerned.
Here's a photo of Wesley Everest. Lumberjack and member of the I.W.W. Good old Wesley knew how to deal with strike breakers. They lynched him, but not before former soldier and crack shot Wes shot three strike breakers and the son of a boss who were part of a mob attacking the Union hall. Nice work Wesley.

The strike breakers from the last strike are starting to show their true colours.When we had the vote,they were all for going on strike.Now push as come to shove,and we are going on strike.Iv'e heard them spouting the usual-iv'e a mortgage and cannot afford to strike.Well so have i.And i shall be out.The all want to :lfo .when the redundancies start they should be the first bastards to go.

As the lynch mob dragged him off, his last words were "Tell the boys I died for my class!" What a hero!

in work this morning i have heard good few ones saying they are coming in next friday, one of these is a senior man who wud complain if he wasnt happy, just says cant afford to , which i do understand totally, but i am paying a mortgage on my own and neither can i, to top it all off got a letter this morning that it has gone up AGAIN!!! the union helped me a few years back and i totally am behind backing in what r m are trying to get us to take on... but a lot of the ones that are coming in think whats the point in strike as royal mail will " bring it in anyway.
