Pro Rata is a terrible thing!
It implies that part timers have only part contributed to the success of the company.

Re: BONUSES AND COLLEAGUE SHARES THREAD
Hi all need some help
Just reading about the bonus thingy (all very confusing ) I have been working for the lovely (;liar) RM since september 08 (almost 8 months) and am on a 26 hour contract. Am I still entitled to this bonus thing given that I didnt join at the start of the financial year (2008) thanks in advance

How are the ColleagueShares allocated?
To be eligible for ColleagueShares you have to be
permanent (or have a continuous long-term temporary
contract), have been employed in the UK on 17 May
2007 (the issue date), and not be on a career break or
extended period of unpaid absence. People on casual
contracts aren’t eligible and neither are those who work
for joint venture companies such as ROMEC and Quadrant.
GLS employees are not included either. Sub-Postmasters
are so important to our business in dealing with our
customers and selling our products that they are included
as well, and they will be told of the particular rules that
apply to them.
Everyone who works full-time gets the same allocation.
If you work part-time, you will get a pro-rata number,
based on your contract hours plus any regular overtime
up to full-time hours that you’ve been working over the
weeks before 17 May 2007. The same principles will
apply whatever your job and whatever your pay. Also,
anyone with multiple contracts with Royal Mail Group
will still only get one allocation of ColleagueShares.
We will be making further allocations in 2008 and
2009, until ColleagueShares worth a total of 20% of
the estimated value of Royal Mail Group have been
given out.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet

Re: BONUSES AND COLLEAGUE SHARES THREAD
Oh and another wish if it where possible
Since the Government is our Shareholder shouldn't bonuses be Tax Free or a minium Tax Bracket for these things... Also when it comes round to Election Time and we start doing all the Voting Leaflets i think they should be Tax Free - Can you see a Local MP delivering them all by him/her self, a don't think so.
We're doing the Political Partys a favour here but get stroked in Tax.
Who is KyzaSoze? But to hear Kobayashi tell it, anybody could have worked for Soze. You never knew, that was his power. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And like that, he's gone.

Too soon, I doubt there will be any offical confirmation one way or the other before May.
