Since he was off we have managed to recruit more staff, get existing staff up to 40 hours and get training done but the cluster manager has now ended training without his permission. On top of that we were informed that the cluster manager had said that our old manager was coming back to our office next week. Within an hour a member of staff made a petition and received signatures from over 95% of the office. This was handed to the cluster manager who replied that he would not be bullied into allowing staff to make the decision as to who would manage the office. If we dont want to work our days off or work over our time then fine as that will cut ot costs. Could be a walk out on Monday if he shows but even if there isnt the office cannot work without OT at the moment and no one will work for him. Fun days ahead

Petition to keep manager out of our office
We had a manager last year until January of this year before he went off sick. During his time here, morale dropped, people stopped working their days off and there were also cut offs. He caused problems with the other managers who came in because he had refused holidays to staff because of our sick. We tried telling him that this was illegal as our holidays were part of our legally binding contract but he refused to budge and when there was only 8 weeks left until the end of the year we had staff whose holidays totalled over 90 weeks to take. Unfortunately due to his bad back
he went off sick before he could see the end result of his labour.

Be careful: I wouldn't put it past RM, to accuse whoever started that petition of B&H. The facts about what happened last time the manager was there, are likley to be ignored by them.Broxi51 wrote:We had a manager last year until January of this year before he went off sick. Re: Petition to keep manager out of our office
He appeared today. Went straight into his office and stayed there. Didnt come out once while we were in the office. At least 2 grievances have went in against him today for things that happened the last time he was here. The other manager was around to manage the office. AFAIK there were no cut offs due to it being quiet. No one has been asked to work their day off yet but no walk outs.

Re: Petition to keep manager out of our office
the grievance route should be your prefered option, the author of the petition would be in for some major grief or possibly the sack if they are made known to management.Broxi51 wrote:He appeared today. I speak form experiance on that one.
Those that signed it may be asked who gave it to them to sign.
The business will argue that the petition is harassment

Re: Petition to keep manager out of our office
No one is working their days off period mate. I only inferred that at the moment we havent been asked to work our days off so we cannot get the satisfaction of saying NO.scottyb wrote:oh sure thing work your days of for them bullying and lying gits and do overtime as well for them seems rm has your office well and truly in its back pocket. keep up the good work. not
It is difficult to cause problems for them at the moment unless we walk out and we feel that would be playing into their hands. We will use the grievance procedure whenever it is neccessary and there will be no OT.

Re: Petition to keep manager out of our office
And? Your point? When he is the manager we do not work our days off. When he left our morale shot up, we got more staff, 32 hour contract staff went up to 40, 22.5 hour contract staff went up to 32. No lapsing. I fail to understand what your point is? He is now back and we will not help him out after he f*cked up the office. If managers want to get training done or more staff in then, yes, we will help as it helps us too.scottyb wrote:During his time here, morale dropped, people stopped working their days off.
